I am a screenwriter from Cardiff who is known for dark, offbeat comedy drama, quirky characters, and an authentic voice. A die-hard Trekkie with a tattoo to prove it, I also enjoy trail running, surfing, punk rock, and sewing sub-standard patchwork quilts.
I am currently writing an ITV-commissioned book adaptation I have been developing with Atlantic Nomad and Sprout Pictures. As well as this, I have numerous original projects in development and regularly take part in writers' rooms for both new and long-running programmes.
In January 2025, I was announced as a member of the WFTV mentorship scheme through which I am being mentored by KAOS creator and writer, Charlie Covell. I was previously mentored by Bad Wolf Co-Founder, Jane Tranter through Edinburgh TV Festival's Ones to Watch.
I was one of nine UK writers chosen for the ScreenSkills and DANDI Regional Breakthrough Writers programme. The scheme, funded by ScreenSkills High-End TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions, aims to support emerging writers to gain their first HETV credit. I was partnered with LA Productions and spent six months in paid development working on an original idea with them. Following the scheme, LA Productions optioned the project. It is currently going out to commissioners.
My TV pilot 'Mouse Circus' was on the 2022 Brit List and I was also part of 2019/2020 BBC Writersroom Welsh Voices. My recent Casualty episode, 'Confidence and Paranoia', won the RTS award for Continuing Drama. My feature script 'Spring Tide' was one of twelve projects selected for the global Attagirl development lab where it was awarded the development prize grant.
My work has been performed on stage, screen and radio, and my short films have been shown at BIFA and BAFTA-qualifying festivals. I have extensive editorial experience and have worked as a storyliner, story editor and script editor, including on BAFTA, RTS and Rose d'Or winning episodes. I also hold a BA and MA in Creative Writing.
I am represented by Matt Connell and Maddie O'Dwyer at Berlin Associates.
